The Out of Darkness, 40 years of Northern Irish Press Photography exhibition is back by popular demand and is running at the Golden Thread Gallery in Belfast until 19th September. The Gallery is offering the opportunity to visit a truly historic exhibition surveying 40 years of the Northern Irish Press Photographers Association.
"The range of photographs exhibited by the Northern Irish Press Photographers Association is remarkable for many reasons," said Roisin McDonough, Chief Executive Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
"Bound together by a common narrative thread the portrayal of life in Northern Ireland since the 1970s the photographs are perhaps the more remarkable because they capture moments in an extraordinary passage in the history of Northern Ireland.
"The exhibition featuring the work of 63 photographers from the Northern Ireland Press Photographers Association is back after record breaking numbers attended their exhibition earlier this year."
Visitors are reminded that opening hours are as follows: Tuesday 11.00am - Friday 5.00pm and Saturday 1.00pm - 4.00pm.
