Chloe sweeps the boards

She has been all over the country, dancing for the great and the powerful but recently Chloe Johnston returned to her native Fermanagh to display to her home county all of her dancing talents.

In the Scottish dance competition held at Fermanagh Feis Chloe attained six gold's and one silver as she took the overall Winners Cup.

Indeed this last year has been something of a whirlwind tour for the young dancing star.

Having joined the Bright Light Dancing Group in Belfast Chloe's feet have hardly touched the floor, unless she has been wowing crowds with her dancing skills.

She has danced for the Major of Tennesse at Belfast City Hall. She has also entertained the President of Ireland, Mary McAleese in her Phoenix Park Residents. The Bright Lights group also danced at Parliment buildings to celebrate the Queens Diamond Wedding Anniversary.

In June Cloe danced in front of David Healey at a Northern Ireland supporters function.

And if all this dancing for the famous was not enough she also passed nine dance exams and also a teaching training exam. A case of ten out of ten on the exam front too for Chloe.

The 13 year old has been delighted with her progress over the last year and explains that a huge debt of gratitude is owed to Tily Hay who runs the Bright Lights Dancing School;

"She has been brilliant but also Elizabeth my dance teacher who comes over from Scotland every week to train us. Without her I don't know what we would do."

She also receives all the support possible from her family;

"Mum and dad are great. They are always bringing me to the events and training and also my brothers and sisters for all the support they give me. It's nice to have everyone behind you."

She also thanked her 'very understanding' Principal, Mr Reese, at Devenish College who affords her time off school to pursue her dreams.

And speaking of dreams Chloe is holding out on one in particular for the future;

"I would love to have my own dance school; 'Chloe's School of Dance'. That would be my dream."

If she continues winning awards and passing exams there is no doubt that Chloe will see her dream become a reality.
