Clare joins UFU team

The Ulster Farmers' Union is pleased to announce the appointment of Clare Abraham from Irvinestown County Fermanagh as the new Assistant Group Secretary for the UFU's South West Fermanagh Group.

Clare graduated from the University of Ulster in 1997 with a BA (Hons) Consumer Studies and from Queen's University in 1998 with an MSc. Food Science.

For the past seven years Clare was employed by DARD as a lecturer and education adviser based at the Loughry Campus in Cookstown. Her role included the recruitment of students from counties Fermanagh and Tyrone for all CAFRE courses at Greenmount, Loughry and Enniskillen Campuses. Clare who has a strong farming background is looking forward to meeting the challenge of her new role with the Ulster Farmers' Union and the NFU Mutual Insurance Society and providing the best possible service to Union members and NFU Mutual clients.

Clare's appointment follows the retirement of Richard Trimble earlier in the year.
