The event will be held in the Killyhevlin Hotel, Enniskillen. Gene Fitzpatrick will compere the evening, with Graham Little as the guest of honour.

Christine McCann, Chairwoman of the Sports Advisory Committee, said, "Once again, Fermanagh athletes have excelled and on 2nd March we will celebrate their success.

"The response to the request for nominations by the committee has been overwhelming. It has been our best year ever, which shows how passionately the community supports and are proud of our athletes and teams.

"The task of making final nominations was very difficult and the committee would like to take the opportunity to announce the nominations for 2006, with the eventual winners being kept a closely guarded secret until the evening."

Christine went on to say, "For the Committee, the awards ceremony will be the closing finale for 2006–2007 of which the committee has launched a "Sports Personality Awards display" in the Lakeland Forum, which names all the previous winners of the awards, and will within the next few weeks have the 2006 winners included.
