Enniskillen started with some great attacking hockey, Irene Edgar, Carey Connor and Danni Morton linking well.

The midfield of Sian Hurst, shirelle Wilson and Jane Boyd provided excellent supposring play for the forwards and helped to continue to put pressure on the Ballymena defence.

But Ballymena increased the tempo of the game and the Enniskillen back line.

The defence of Nikki Bannon, Lisa Stinson, Gemma McCutcheon and Sarah-Jane Stinson held off the Ballymena forwards until they scored with a penalty corner..

Keeper Claire Wilson pulled off a number of excellent saves during this period.

The second half started with Skiins looking strong and a Lisa Stinston penalty corner was wellsaved.

The final score doesn't reflect how well the girls performed together, but the experience of the Ballymena side proved too much.

This week Enniskillen are due to travel to North Down.
