Joining forces with Cadbury this Easter

Families in County Fermanagh looking to celebrate a traditional Easter activity this year should look no further than a visit to one of the counties National Trust properties. This year, the annual Easter Egg Trail at Castle Coole, Florence Court and Crom is supported by Cadbury, the UK's number one confectionery company which is giving an Easter egg to every child who completes the trail*.

Events take place 23 and 24 March 2008 at Castle Coole and Florence Court, and 23 March at Crom. For more information, visit www.eastereggtrail.com.

The Easter Egg Trail provides a great day out for families to enjoy together. Egg hunters will follow a trail around the National Trust properties, visiting 'trail' points and collecting clues. On their return, they will receive a free Cadbury Egghead' Easter egg. In addition, visitors can take part in a range of extra activities.

Castle Coole will hold their Family Fun Day, Easter Sunday 23 March with music, games and fun for all the family. Children can look forward to egg & spoon races, sack races, egg painting, skipping, Punch & Judy shows and more. Music provided by the Ernesiders Jazz Band will add to the overall atmosphere of Castle Coole's Easter extravaganza.

Visitors to Crom will also have an opportunity to explore Upper Lough Erne in a traditional 'cot'. Of the many historic artefacts which remind us of past times at Crom, the traditional Lough Erne cot is perhaps the most remarkable one. Cut and shaped from Crom oak more than a hundred years ago, it is still in use today. Space is limited so come early!

At Florence Court on Easter Sunday and Monday visitors can enjoy an entertaining upstairs downstairs house tour guided by Language Governess, Mademoisellle Berger or the House Keeper, Mrs Lloyd and the Cook, Mrs Elliott will lead you through the Basement of this 18th century mansion.
