Female recruits required for GI Jane 2009


Meningitis Research Foundation is looking for Fermanagh ladies to take on the ultimate challenge of G.I Jane 2009?

This is a ladies only sponsored challenge which takes place on Saturday 28 February 2009 in Castlewellan Forest Park.

The event includes warm up drill, body combat session, military style run and 6 zones. Zones include zip line, climbing wall, roll log, canoeing, duel, archery, maze, mental/physical challenges and many more. All recruits will be kitted out in army gear and camouflage which are provided.

An after party follows the event along with a prize ceremony. All recruits will also receive a token of completion and one lady will be crowned G.I Jane 2009!

Fund-raising officers Emma Collins and Sharon Rutherford said "This is a new and exciting event for Northern Ireland women and the biggest event for the Foundation.

We are calling upon women aged 16 and over to take on this challenge, limited fitness is required. Enroll today and be the first 150 to pass through Meningitis Boot Camp!"
