Christmas babies for Fermanagh!

Proud Mum and Dad Paul and Charlene McManus, Monea, with Erin Mary who was born on Christmas Day at 05.17hrs in the Erne Hospital, Enniskillen.

As far as we can determine, four babies were born on Christmas Day to Fermanagh parents, three of them in the Erne hospital.

The fourth, Baby Thomas Peter Flanagan was born in Cambridge in England. His parents are Colm who is a native of Derrygonnelly and Caroline. Thomas Peter arrived at 7pm on Christmas Day, weighing 9lb 12 oz. Baby Thomas is the twelfth grandchild for his paternal grandparents, Paddy and Concepta, Main Street, Derrygonnelly.

The appropriately-named Erin McManus was the first of the trio of babies delivered in the Erne on Christmas Day. She was born to Charlene and her husband, Paul from Scandally, Derrygonnelly at 5.17am. She weighed in at 6lbs and is their first child.

Rory McMenamin was born to his mother, Michelle and her husband, Martin from Drumgowna East, Ederney at 8.40 on Christmas Day morning. He weighed in at 9lbs 3 ozs. He has two brothers and a sister.

Keeley McGovern was born to his mother, Bernadette, who lives with her husband in Newtownbutler, at 2.45 on Christmas Day.

On the following day, St Stephen's Day, two more babies were born in the Erne, to mothers from Magheraveeley and Fintona.
