Some of Ireland's brightest young jazz musicians are heading for Irvinestown this December for a concert in Mahon's Hotel.
On Saturday, 2nd December, concert Irish jazz saxophone player Richie Buckley and Organics hammond organ trio are to play a local concert, which is exciting news for all jazz fans out there.
The group is currently working together on a joint recording, to be released later this year, and Richie Buckley and Organics will be combining their rich musical repertoires when they play together in Mahon's Hotel.
With his unique style and virtuoso technique, Richie Buckley, a self taught saxophone player, is internationally recognised as one of Ireland's leading jazz performers. He has been described as 'extraordinary', and 'something of a genius' by various commentators.
Over the last few years he has collaborated with many famous musicians including Van Morrison, Dave McKenna, Harry Allen, Guy Barker, Georgie Fame, Bob Dylan, John Hendricks, Carlos Santana, Barry Manilow and Elvis Costello.
Leading Irish Hammond organ trio 'Organics' have been performing and composing since 1997. The trio have been the regular jam-session band at the Cork International Jazz festival for several years and have performed throughout the country at music festivals in Dublin, Birr, Galway, Waterford, Omagh and Belfast.
'Organics' feature three of Ireland's finest young jazz musicians Justin Carroll (Hammond Organ), John Moriarty (Guitar) and Kevin Brady (Drums)..
