Trillick player Gervis Knox had a successful day at last Saturday's Ulster Closed Table Tennis Championships at the Valley Leisure Centre, Newtownabbey.
Knox, from Trillick, won the Men's Under-21 title, beating Belfast player, Andrew Loane, in the final in five sets.
This is the University of Ulster student's first Ulster singles title.
Omagh player Daryl Strong performed superbly to win the Men's Senior Singles Championship with wins over No.1 seed Paul McCreery in the semi-final and his Queen's University team-mate Philip Wallace, seeded No. 2 in a very competitive match in the final over five sets. Daryl, who has won several junior and cadet titles in the past, last won the Ulster Senior Closed title in the 2002/03 season.
In the Open Doubles, Gervis teamed up with Paul McCreery to beat Strong and Wallace in a closely contested five set match.
