Qualifiers at Necarne

Last Saturday, Fermanagh Harriers hosted Dengie Qualifiers as part of their Winter League at Necarne.

Gabriel Tunney had built a longer, more challenging course to test both junior and senior competitors, and Janet Currie and Andrew Bogle were present to add the finishing touches while Chris Bogle made sure the judging ran smoothly throughout the day.

The Junior Dengie was won by Fermanagh Harriers member, John Burleigh on Brookvale Tiger Lily, beating fellow member, Roisin Treacy and Policeman into second place. Michael Roche from Seskinore Harriers and Sonny finished in third place while Craig Ferry from Tullylagan and Jasper took the final qualifying spot.

In the senior competition, Rachel Magee from Seskinore took first and second place with Little Miss Dynamite and Trendy Tracks. Third place went to another Seskinore member, Nadine Arthur and Fantasma with Fermanagh Harriers member, Megan Hutchinson taking fourth place. The fourth qualifying place went to Amy Harkness and Change of Heart.

Next week should be very exciting with much still to be decided in the final league placings.
