Kilskeery Table Tennis Club travelled recently to take part in a junior graded tournament, held in Ballyjamesduff, Co. Cavan.
Brothers Luke and David Henderson performed very well to finish in first place in their individual age categories.
The rest of the club members competed well and showed a good account of themselves on this being their first ranking tournament.
With encouragement given from the Rev. William Johnston, table tennis has been revamped in the Trillick / Kilskeery areas after many years of absence.
The successful Trillick Table Tennis Club that was formed in the early 1950s met twice a week in the Trillick Orange Hall on Main Street.
In 1957, Rev. Edwin Hastings became the rector of Trillick Parish Church and he became an enthusiastic member of the club and competed using his Chinese style of play.
Trillick went on to become an exciting club with members competing in local leagues and tournaments.
The Trillick Table Tennis Club won the Rev. Tarlton Challenge on two occasions in the mid-1960s.
