Conor Morris will be celebrating his 14th birthday with mixed emotions this week. Of course, he'll be delighted to be a whole year older but also disappointed to discover that he has missed out in competing in the U-14 Age Group of the UK National Junior Swimming Championships for People With Disabilities by just two days.
As a result, Conor will now have to swim in the much tougher 1418-year-old age group.
Conor competed in the Ulster Swimming Championships in November last year and due to his spectatular performance qualified for the UK Championships, which will be held at Ponds Forge Sheffield this weekend.
He will travel with nine other young swimmers, who have been selected by Disability Sport to represent Northern Ireland.
