£2,500 for NSPCC

McBride's Spar stores in Enniskillen, Omagh and Dromore recently hosted a special charity dance to raise funds for Spar's charity partner, NSPCC.

The special event, held on Friday 18th May at Woodhill Hunting Lodge, was a fantastic evening of music, entertainment and dancing and raised £2,500 for the charity.

Popular local country band Country Sensation had the crowd on their feet and guests took part in a special raffle, giving them the chance to win a fantastic range of prizes including mountain bikes and barbecues. The event also played host to a fabulous charity auction, where an Ireland rugby shirt, signed by the team, was auctioned off in aid of NSPCC Northern Ireland.

Barry Morris, General Manager, McBride's Spar stores, said: "The event was great fun for all involved, and raised valuable funds for NSPCC Northern Ireland. As a community retailer, we are committed to supporting local charities, in particular our charity partner NSPCC. All money raised will be used locally to finance NSPCC projects such as the Therapeutic Treatment Teams, Independent Schools Counselling and Family Support service. I would like to thank everyone for their kind generosity and for making the night a great success."
