A water feature that was designed by Jon Kelly and built by members was officially 'flooded' last Thursday to mark the 10th anniversary of Drumcoo Centre, Enniskillen.
The Centre, which is located near the Cherrymount Link, caters for 35-40 'members' across a range of three specialities, brain injury, sensory disability (hearing or sight loss) and physical disability.
Its deputy manager, Niall McGandy, through the 'Herald', thanked John and his team for completing the water feature in six days, and Jon himself: "He wanted to do some sort of environmental feature, so we got funding from the Arts Council and Fermanagh District Council oversaw the work. Initially, it wasn't going to be as big, but it just kept growing", he explained.
In addition to the 35-40 members who attend the Centre, there are a further 75-80 members on the books who are seen elsewhere.
Valerie Edwards, from Ballyreagh, Tempo attends three days a week and wouldn't miss a single day: "I like it very much. I like going in and doing computers and craft work. I also like the craic and, of course, the staff, and I do enjoy the social outings".
