All that jazz at Castle Coole

Make a date in the special treat section of your diary to enjoy the Martello Jazz Band playing in the National Trust's stunning grounds at Castle Coole on Sunday 3 June from 3pm to 5pm. Due to the popularity of last year's Jazz Picnic this is the first of three open-air jazz events planned for the summer season and will provide the perfect opportunity to sit back and enjoy a lazy Sunday of good music and relaxation.

The rolling lawns of Castle Coole's landscaped parklands are the perfect place to unfold a deckchair or spread a rug and settle down to a picnic. Whether you are a jazz enthusiast or just looking for a fun day out with a difference, the smooth sounds of jazz in the elegant surroundings of Castle Coole is a great introduction to jazz and a real treat for those already hooked.

Later in the season, Castle Coole looks forward to welcoming the Panama Jazz Band and the New Orleans Jazz Band.

Do not hurry away, Sundays at Castle Coole are made for taking time out from the usual rush of life, - a time to slow down and relax. Enjoy a stroll in the park, visit the impressive spectacle of the 18th Century house, with the bedroom prepared for George IV in 1821. The doors will be open for you to enjoy a tour, or for any jazz revellers in need of refreshment simply relax in the Tallow House tea room.

Nestled among stunning landscaped parkland, Castle Coole truly is a majestic place to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon. Admission is £3 for adults, £1.50 for children (National Trust members free) and everyone is welcome, so bring a rug and a picnic, sit back and soak up the great atmosphere at this toe tapping show.
