Water safety event

The Royal National Lifeboat Institute (RNLI) is organising a water safety information evening in the Lakeland Forum, Enniskillen tomorrow evening (Thursday), starting at 7pm. There is no admission charge.

The event is being jointly sponsored by Fermanagh District Council, the Marine and Coastguard Agency, the NI Fire and Rescue Service and other agencies.

All water users, young and old together with clubs and societies are urged to attend.

There will be demonstrations of safety equipment and rescue methods along with information stands, and displays by personnel from the RNLI, the Coastguard, and by NI Fire and Rescue Service.

The RNLI has two stations on Lough Erne, at Carrybridge on the Upper Lake and at Lough Erne Yacht Club in the Lower Lake. The meeting has been welcomed by the local UUP Assembly member, Tom Elliott.
