lisnaskea


Lisnaskea High School will be enrolling students for the new GCE Applied Course in Science, next week (Tuesday 21 August 07).

This qualification is equivalent to 2 A levels. The course is divided into 12 units, 4 of these are assessed by external exams, the remainder by assignments, set by the tutors.

This course is linked with Fermanagh College; the students attend Lisnaskea High School for 3 days and Fermanagh College for the remaining 2, where an extra A level can be obtained in ICT (Computer Studies).

Previous successful students have gained entry to degree courses in Nursing, Teaching, Animal Health, Nutrition, Biology, Environmental Science, Agriculture, Food Science, Radiography etc.

This course can also lead to a wide variety of other career paths, eg – Horticulture, Physiotherapy, etc etc.

The minimum entry requirements to this course are four GCSEs at grade C or above.
