Erne Wakeboard Club cleaned up at the Irish National Championships held last weekend, in Co. Cork.
Collecting three national titles in total with the added bonus that two of their boarders were selected for the Irish National team that will compete in the World Championships in Quatar later this year.
For Garvan Duffy, this event was to prove the pinnacle of his competitive career to date. The popular Fermanagh barber collected the masters title to claim his first National title.
"It was a great experience," he told the 'Herald'. "Everything I tried worked. I hit all my tricks and did not fall off, which is always an advantage," he laughed.
Also collecting national titles were Sian Hurst in the Pro Ladies and Yasmin McMaster, who showed how much she has improved over recent months by capturing the Junior Ladies title.
Sian and Garvan also received the added bonus of being selected to ride for the National Team, a huge honour for both.
"I just cannot believe it. I will be competing at a whole new level but I am looking forward to the challenge," Garvan explained.
The pair will join up with the Irish team in October and jet off to the sun and sand of Quatar for the World Championships.
