The IWSF (International Water Ski Federation) Water Ski World Cup returns to Fermanagh on 6th8th September. Hosted for the third successive year at the Lakeland Forum in Enniskillen, the Northern Ireland Water Ski World Cup will bring over 100 skiers from over 20 nations to compete on the skiers' favourite world cup stop. The world's best male and female skiers will battle it out across the three disciplines of slalom, jump and shortboard.
Men's Jump was won in 2006 by the American, Freddy Krueger, current world number one and until Dubna's world cup stop, unbeaten since 2005.
Krueger is a five times world record holder and will compete against Jaret Llewellyn, winner of the Northern Ireland Water Ski World Cup in 2005. With both competitors at the top of their game, a world record could be set in NI.
Ladies' Jump was won in Enniskillen by world number one, Angeliki Andriopoulou, from Greece, with Denmark's June Fladborg and Clementine Lucine making up second and third place on the podium.
Men's Slalom was won in 2006 by the Canadian Drew Ross. Ross beat World Cup Champion and world number one Jodie Fisher into second place in Enniskillen and while Fisher will be looking to reclaim his title, he will face tough competition from the US's Jamie Beauchesne, who filled third place on the Enniskillen podium. Women's slalom was won by the US's Natalie Hamrick, with the UK's Sarah Green and US's Clementine Lucine filling the podium spots.
Men's shortboard was won in Enniskillen in 2006 by Nicolas Le Forestier from France and followed by Belarusians Oleg Deviatovski and Aliaksei Zharnasek.
Women's shortboard was won by the US's Mandy Nightingale and followed by Clementine Lucine, who came third in jump and slalom, filling second position. Danyelle Bennett was in third place.

This event features the best water skiers in the world, coming from North and South America and Australia, as well as across Europe and Asia, with Enniskillen helping decide who will be the world cup champion.'

The Northern Ireland Water Ski World Cup is the second round of a four event series in the IWSF World Cup. Enniskillen is in exotic company with Dubna in Russia having hosted the first round on 27th29th July, Singapore hosting the third round on 22nd23rd September and the series finale taking place in Doha (Qatar) in November 2007.
The IWSF Water Ski World Cup brings the world's top water skiers and stars of the sport as close as possible to spectators, sponsors and interested parties.
Enniskillen will play a major role in deciding the titles of male and female world cup champion across jump, slalom and shortboard.
