Country night in aid of cancer charity

A charity country night to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support will be held in the Cosy Corner in Kiltyclogher next Friday night, 26 September, at 9pm.

Statistics tell us that more than one in three people will develop some form of cancer in their lifetime. Behind this shocking fact lies the painful human story of individuals and their families struggling to come to terms with illness and loss. One of the most important things helping people through this difficult time, is the support of friends and neighbours - and that awareness was the motivation for the organisers of the Charity Country Night,

Rosie Stewart, organiser of the event, said: "Sadly cancer impacts on us all. The loss of family and friends is devastating. Cancer makes you feel very helpless and we wanted to do something practical and useful. The Macmillan Cancer Support charity offers professional and caring support, helping people cope and giving them dignity at a very difficult time".

The charity country night has been organised to coincide with the annual Macmillan Coffee Morning. Entertainment will be provided by well known Fermanagh musicians and singers.

Eugene Cunningham will be performing, as will popular duo, Mountain Fever, along with Kathleen Meehan and Paddy Corrigan.

With refreshments, a raffle and a great floor for dancing this is a night not to be missed.

Admission is by voluntary donation.
