brucellosis meeting

Representatives from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Veterinary Service will be present on the 3rd April at 8pm to give farmers the opportunity to air their views and ask questions on the brucellosis situation in Northern Ireland and on DARD's control policy for Brucellosis.

Over the last few months, the Department has been engaging with farmers around the North to raise awareness about the disease risks and to advise farmers of what they can do to protect their herds from Brucellosis.

There will be talks from DARD vets on the epidemiology of the disease in cattle and humans and the current brucellosis situation in the province, presided over by DARD Chief Veterinary Officer, Bert Houston.

The meeting will be chaired by Trevor Armstrong, in the setting of Enniskillen's CAFRE campus and will allow an environment conducive to the open and cordial exchange of views.

The event will be held Thursday 3rd April at 8.00 pm in CAFRE, Enniskillen Campus. (main hall).
