Enniskillen next stop for business roadshow

Enniskillen has been selected as the first port of call for 2009 by a business organisation for a roadshow to which local businesses can attend free of charge to get advice and ideas for expansion.

The event will take place in the Killyhevlin Hotel, at 6.00pm on Thursday, 15th January when experts will also be on hand from Department for Employment & Learning, Invest NI, Enterprise Agencies FE and other support bodies to provide advice on funded programmes and business support.

The Enniskillen 'stop' is one in a number organised by the Management Leadership Network (MLN) Horizons Roadshow.

Bill Manson, MLN's Chief Executive called on the local business community to consider expanding their horizons and that, by doing so, success could be achieved in today's difficult economic climate.

He commented: "This year's project is even bigger than last year's due to demand, with two extra towns added to the road-map."

In collaboration with Enterprise NI and supported by HR experts, Grafton Recruitment, the business 'masterclass' series is visiting 10 venues across Northern Ireland. These roadshows are aimed at helping to promote business growth at all levels through increasing management and leadership capabilities using local successful business leaders who will share their experiences.

Mr Manson said it was an opportunity for those attending to learn directly from those who know exactly what it takes to grow a business in Northern Ireland and should not be missed.

"Our 'Horizons Roadshow' series," he said, "is designed directly for any owners, managers and entrepreneurs.

"We've lined up an impressive list of home grown business talent, all willing to provide an insight into their practice and thinking."

Speakers at the Enniskillen roadshow will include - Patrick Hurst, Managing Director of Munster Simms and Anne Rodgers, Managing Director of Infinite People Solutions.

The programme features a specialist presentation from experts covering topics such as motivation, winning business, networking, planning and growing a business in addition to the keynote address.

A 'questions and answers' session will follow for anyone wanting guidance on any of their own personal management or leadership queries.

Cathy McCorry, the Managing Director of Grafton Recruitment, who are strategic partners of the Horizons Roadshow, said Grafton 'know better than most businesses the importance of investing in your own leadership skills and the capacity of your staff'.

She went on: "Indeed, our own expansion beyond the UK and Ireland was driven by supporting our staff to move beyond comfort zones and spearhead projects and new offices right across Europe.

"With our network of offices seeking out the best people for our clients right across Northern Ireland, we are looking forward to MLN arriving in Enniskillen to get the business community thinking about how they can grow and expand. In these times of economic difficulty it is even more important than ever to listen to the experts and shift your business in top-gear."
