Boys in Ulster finals

Young Ederney boxers Mark Kelly and John Doran have reached the Ulster finals, which will be held in Dungiven on Sunday, March 18th.

Mark will box Ryan Ivors, from the Golden Gloves ABC, Buncrana. Coach Oliver Kelly believes that this will be a tough contest but hopeful that Mark can progress to the All-Irelands in Dublin.

John Doran has received a walkover at the Boy 1 54k division and is through to the All-Irelands in Dublin, which will be held from 11th–14th April.

Coach Oliver Kelly believes that John has the ability to win the All-Ireland title.

Ederney boxers also performed last Thursday at a tournament held in Killyclogher, Omagh. Curtis and Lee Timlin, Cormac Gillogley and Niall McAlynn all had convincing wins over their opponents.

Oliver was delighted with these performances and can see these boys improving all the time.
