Celtic band
stirring up a storm!

A Kansas City based Celtic/folk band is about to break onto the international scene with their first-ever tour of Ireland this Summer.

One of the Midwest's premiere Celtic bands, Tullamore will be including a date at the Ardhowen later this month as part of their ten concert tour over 16 days. Tullamore will perform in concert at the Ardhowen Theatre on Friday, 29th June, at 9.00pm.

The band consists of Mark Clavey, Mary Hanover, and Rachel Gaither. Mark is a native of Baltimore, MD, and has lived on Kansas City's eastern fringes for nearly 30 years. He plays guitar and sings for the band, and also manages the band and produces their arrangements. Mary Hanover was born in Omaha, NE, and eventually settled in Kansas City about 17 years ago. Mary does vocals as well as playing the hammered dulcimer and tin-whistle. Rachel who lived in Lee's Summit most of her life is the band's fiddler, and likewise sings.

The band joins the small company of other American bands including Cherish, the Ladies, Bohola, and Gaelic Storm, whose particular flavour of Celtic music has found a welcome in the lands of its origins.

The band has played to critical acclaim throughout Central US, and is on the verge of breaking through as a national band.
