Helicopter rides at Enniskillen Air Show


On Sunday, 24th June, the skies around Enniskillen Airport will resound to the sound of fast jets, aerobatic aeroplanes and helicopters. A large number of visitors are expected at County Fermanagh's major spectator event of the year.

The list of display aircraft is spectacular with the famous Red Arrows Aerobatic Display Team topping the bill. The other aircraft and displays are just as entertaining. These include: The RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team, Team "Guinot" Wing Walkers, Catalina, P40, Skyraider, Pitts Special, Tutor, Tucano, and Extra 200 to name just a few.

There will also be a large contingent of helicopters both flying and on static display. These include: Seaking Search and Rescue, Schweizer flyer – the famous World Champion pilot Dennis Kenyon, Lynx, Huey, Bell 47 and Whirlwind.

The very popular Hugo Duncan from Radio Ulster and his band will be playing before the start of the flying display. There will also be various trade stands, entertainment for the kids, helicopter rides (extra charge) and food outlets on site.

The gates open at 11.00am on Sunday morning. Car parking is free. Roads leading to the airport will only be open to vehicles going to the Air Show.

Admission charges are: Adults, £10 Children, £5 (five to 16).
