Four county records were broken in a great day of athletics at the Lakeland Forum on Friday.

Athletes from schools all over the county competed in the Year 8, 9 and 10 County Sports.

In the Minor Girls event, Danika Beattie from St Comhghall's in Lisnaskea created a new high jump record with a jump of 1.35 metres.

In the Junior Girls Javelin, Sharon Murphy, a pupil at St Aidan's High School in Derrylin, threw a new distance of 19.06 metres to also set a new Fermanagh record.

N. Green, a pupil at St Joseph's College in Enniskillen, created a new record in the triple jump junior section with a distance of 11.90 metres.

The Senior Girls event saw Stephanie Maguire, also of St Aidan's High School, set a new record for the 300 metres with a time of 49.3 seconds and in the javelin Paul Gilbride, of the Erne Integrated College in Enniskillen, set a new record with a throw of 16.9 metres.
