Style and the timing of pure comic genius are just some of the ingredients on view this Thursday evening at 8.00pm, when Vicarage Productions from London and the uniquely talented Rosemary Hawthorne present 'the Knicker Lady', a historical tribute to the humble knicker.
The show zips along with a tempo and hilarity that leaves audiences both male and female, breathless and dying for more, as surrounded by old suitcases, boxes and hat stands Rosemary delves through two hundred and fifty years of bloomers, briefs and bustles, presenting the myriad of colourful characters that wore them, in a unique and enigmatic style of her own.
Audiences are transported back to the muslin-clad elegance of Jane Austen's England, the corset bound Nineteenth Century, the suffragettes and daring ladies of the roaring 20's.
With charismatic vivacity all are scrutinised like never before. Even the famous Y-front doesn't escape her attention as this fun filled evening of comedy reaches its peak.
