McCabe back in the mix?

Malaachy O' Rourke.

It is expected that Belcoo's Shane McCabe may be available again if required to rejoin the panel.

The talented forward was part of manager O'Rourke's plan at the start of the year. McCabe has been plying his trade for Glentoran in the Irish League and has been a huge hit with the fans since he joined the East Belfast club.

He was on the panel sporadically during Charlie Mulgrew's tenure and started at wing half back in an ill fated qualifier game in Newry which Fermanagh lost in 2005.

Prior to that he was a member of Dominic Corrigan's squad in 2002 when he saw action throughout the league and Championship.

SENIOR PANEL

The senior panel will be travelling to Kildare for a 36 hour get together on this coming Saturday and Sunday.

It is not intended that there will be any extensive physical work, the management aware that players will have been involved in two tough club league games during the week. A team spokesman on Monday indicated that there was a generally clean bill of health. Paul Ward would appear to be the player who would at this stage be considered as most doubtful for selection availability.
