Lisbellaw dominate

LISBELLAW ST PATRICK'S 7 -16

KNOCK'S GRATTANS 0-3

In this one sided Fermanagh Minor Hurling League Round 3 tie at Cavanacarragh, Lisbellaw dominated the scoring and playing activity for the entire 60 minutes. Their scoring and defending abilities were relentless, never giving their visitors any chance to settle.

By halftime, Lisbellaw had notched up a very impressive score of 5 goals 13 points toto 0-0. The dominant figures for the winers in the opening half were their senior stars, John Duffy (1-5) and Sean Corrigan (0-4), together with Seamus Bogue. Over the course of halftime, the Knocks management set about encouraging their team and, as a result, they registered three point, all from Johnny Reilly. Unfortunately, that was all they could muster, although to their credit they restricted the opposition to a modest additional 2 goal 3 points in the remaining 20 minutes of the game. These stylishly-taken scores included two Declan 0'Brien goals in the 12th and 20th minutes, and a couple of Rory Porteous points.

Lisbellaw - Dwayne McPhillip's, Pierce Martin, Luke McQuaid, John McElroy, Kevin Brannigan, J.P. McGarry, Daniel Teague, John Duffy, Rory Porteous, Eoin Markey, Sean Corrigan, Ryan Hyde, Tommy Swift, Declan O'Brien & Seamus Bogue.

Knock's Grattans - David Curran, Sean McElhenny, Sean Maguire, Martin Melarkey, Gerry McConnell, Rory McGrade, Mathew Mullen, Lowell Hogan, Tomas McDermott, Cahir McElroy, Eugene Cadden, Michael Montgomery, Oisin Boyle and Daniel Maguire.

Referee, Jason McManus, Lisnaskea Emmett's.
