Preparations are well under way for this years Fleadh which will be held in Roslea.
Sets and Ceili dancing competitions will take place at this years Fleadh with the competition been run on the Saturday night.
Any teams wishing to compete are asked to contact county board secretary Mary Lunney for application forms or any county board official.
This years Irish language competitions will take place on Sunday morning and schools are asked now to approach the county board for entry sheets.
ENTRY FORM
All competitors at this year Fleadh must fill in an entry form and be handed in 21 days before Fleadh competitions which are on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th of June.
The new competition application will be sent to all branch secretaries this week or can be downloaded from the Comhaltas website at www.comhaltas.ie
With the new application the 21 day rule will mean no late entries can be accepted this year so please begin to put together the Fleadh entries. All applications must be signed by the competitor and branch secretary.
The Fleadh this year will run over five days with music and lectures associated with Fermanagh music taking place in the days running up to Fleadh weekend full details will be announced later.
TIMELY REMINDER
This is a timely reminder to remind branches to approach successful competitors from 2007 and previous Fleadh's from within your branch to ensure that all trophies are collected now and brought to the next county board meeting.
Over the last few years trophies have not been handed back leaving competition winners with no trophy.
The next Fleadh meeting will be Tuesday the 13th May in Roslea Community Centre at 8.30pm and more assistance and helpers will be warmly welcome.
