Enniskillen was one of six locations in Northern Ireland which has been surveyed in a study to look at the experiences of those people on Incapacity Benefit.
The survey's purpose is to inform the relevant Northern Ireland departments about the experiences of Incapacity Benefits claimants.
The general picture emerging is that many Incapacity Benefits claimants, 'have poor health and are mostly a long way removed from the world of work'.
The report highlighted the fact 67% reported they had last looked for work more than nine months ago, and most of the remainder had either never looked, or could not remember when they had last looked.
Over half those questioned never expect to look for work and 50% expected to never work again.
The report concluded: "Most respondents are undoubtedly far removed from the labour market, but others are much closer and offer more scope for interventions to help with their re-engagement.
"This is particularly so for younger claimants, those with qualifications, those who have short durations on Incapacity Benefit, and those who are spatially mobile," it continued.
