TRADITIONAL musicians will be hoping to drive the cold winter away this at a host of events this weekend in Enniskillen.
A number of venues across the county town are being used for the Enniskillen Winter Folk Weekend with concerts, workshops and informal music sessions.
Proceedings get underway on Friday night with a sets ceili with the Emerald Ceili Band at St Michael's Hall in Enniskillen.
Saturday sees the start of a two-day programme of workshops with former Boys of the Lough flautist Cathal McConnell, fiddler Seamus Quinn and accordionist Jim McGrath among the accomplished musicians passing on their knowledge.
A concert featuring the best of Fermanagh traditional music takes place on Saturday evening at the Clinton Centre and later that night, from 11pm, the musicians will move on to the Railway Hotel for an informal session at the folk weekend festival club.
After more workshops on Sunday afternoon, the festival finishes off on a different note with a traditional singing session at the Railway, where local singers will be joined by visiting troubadours from all over Ireland and beyond.
