The Drummee Integrated Waste Management facility did lose out on one recycling service, that for shredding green and woodland waste from other recycling centres. That work will now be undertaken in Keady.
At last month's meeting of Fermanagh District Council, it was revealed that an artic lorry unit and trailer had been bought last year and the cost recouped under the waste Management Grant Scheme. The vehicle, members were informed, was used extensively in transporting green and woodland waste from other recycling centres for processing to Environgrind outside Pettigo. However, a plan for shredding to take place at Drummee had had to be shelved.
