Under 16 Blitz

Fermanagh travelled with a depleted squad to the first Ulster Council U16 Blitz at Cloghan, Annyalla, Co. Monaghan, on Saturday 10th May 2008.

Fermanagh were grouped with Antrim, Armagh and Donegal. On paper this Blitz did not go well for the Fermanagh players as they were beaten in all three games but an under-strength panel did some very good things in their games, esp against Antrim and Armagh.

The following players attended:

Martin Corrigan, Johnny Feely, Michael Leonard, Barry McGovern, Stephen Nolan, Ciaran McBrien, Ronan Quigley, James Speight, Dermot Toye, Conall Jones, Mark Blake, John Mulligan, Conor McAleer, Paul Mullan, Gregory Tierney, Kirk West, Ryan McGullion, Conor McQuaid, Ciaran McGoldrick, Jarlath Jackman, Mark Prior, Patrick McManus.

Injury prevented Vincent O'Brien, Barry McCann and Rory Porteous taking any part on the day.

Kane Connor, Adam Cartwright, Sean Daly, Liam McGovern, Killian and Kealan Barrett, Barry Bannon, Mark Smyth, Smyth, Shane O'Neill, Thomas Warnock and Ciaran Flanagan did not attend for a variety of reasons.

Five players will be selected from those players who were able to attend this Blitz for the Ulster Elite U16 Camp in early July.
