Traditonal treat

Rossory Brownees during the parade

Traditional music fans are in for a treat next weekend when two of Ireland's finest musicians from the band Téada come to Enniskillen.

Oisín Mac Diaremada and Seán McElwain are due to play at the Higher Bridges Gallery in the Clinton Centre at 9.00pm on Saturday, 17th May. Tickets for the event are £8.

Téada, now firmly established as one of Irish music's leading exponents on the international world music stage, continues to be driven by a fascination with the timeless, expressive force of traditional tunes inherited from previous generations of musicians.

FIDDLE

A graduate in Music Education from Trinity College Dublin/RIAM, Téada's Oisín Mac Diarmada began playing fiddle at a young age in Co. Clare, subsequently moving to Co. Sligo and developing a deep interest in the playing style of the North Connacht region. Oisín is also a regular solo performer, appearing recently as guest soloist with the Southern Georgia Symphony Orchestra in the US.
