Spot on!


Super Saturday's three games at Ferney and Fisher Park was really on the spot when it came to football.

No less than five penalties were given by three referees during the three end of season matches, the Irish League Division Two game between Ballinamallard United and Dergview, the Mulhern Cup final between Enniskillen Town United and Strathroy Harps and the Irish Youth League fixture between Ballinamallard Youth and Glentoran Youth. In the Irish League game Dergview were awarded two penalties by referee Tim Marshall which were converted by former Ferney man Gareth Sproule. In the cup final which followed whistler Shane Corrigan awarded two penalties to Enniskillen Town United which saw Rory Judge convert from the spot. In the Youth fixture next door on Fisher Park referee Michael Curry pointed to the spot for Glentoran.
