Attempted robbery at supermarket


Police are appealing for information following an attempted robbery at Rooneys Supermarket on the Cornagrade Road, Enniskillen at approximately 2.15 am on Monday 12th May.

Police recovered a hold-all bag and rope on the roof of the premises where a small hole had been made. An individual was seen in the premises and two crowbars and a saw were recovered by police. Entry was gained activating the alarm and CCTV footage revealed a tall male rummaging through the till area of the shop but nothing was taken.

A suspicious vehicle with part of the registration reading LEZ was seen in the area with three males on board. The vehicle is believed to be an old model of a Vauxhall saloon or Opel car. It sped off in the direction of the Kilmacormick area. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police on 0845 600 8000.
