Pettigo readers are rejoicing at Centre books

Avid readers in the Pettigo area are relishing a new resource recently introduced in the Forge Family Resource Centre in the village,

The 'Taobh Tire' section in the centre has been up and running for a number of months and is proving extremely popular with young and old bookworms alike,

There is a small selection of books available in the centre but, more importantly, a computer is provided which allows instant access to the online Library Service.

DELIVERED

It means that, once the reader has found their preferred book, it can be delivered to the centre. As a result, a whole new world of writing is opened up to an area which was very under provided for in regards this resources. Students in Pettigo also find it a useful tool in terms of online newspapers, dictionaries and encyclopaedias.

Initially started as a pilot scheme, 'Taobh Tire' is now going to be retained in Pettigo. Indeed, the organisers of the scheme are looking at expanding it to other areas across the country.
