Ready to bloom at the flower festival

Colaghty Parish Church in Lack will host a Flower Festival from Friday 6th – Monday 9th June.

The theme of this year's event is 'Amazing Grace' to mark the Church's gratitude for their new hall opened last June.

The Flower Festival will open with a short service on Friday at 2.00 pm, with the official opening at 7.00 pm. The Festival will then remain open from 11.00am until 9.00 pm on Saturday and 2.00-9.00 pm on Sunday, with worship at 11.30am. Visitors are also welcome between 11.00 am – 7.00 pm on Monday.

Flower arrangements can be bought and reserved during the festival, and collected on Tuesday.

For those travelling to the event organisers reminded spectators that the Parish of Colaghty is situated just off the main road from Omagh to Donegal, between the villages of Lack and Ederney.

Groups can avail of morning or afternoon tea and coffee, lunch between 12.00 – 2.00pm, and high tea from 3.00 pm. Advance booking for groups will be required.

A video will be available after the event and these can be ordered from any of the stewards during your visit.

The Flower Festival will close with a concert on Monday night. Among the highlights will be the sound of flautist Jonathan Johnston and the Baillis Mills accordion band. Band secretary Brian Johnston will compere along with sketches. Admission by ticket only.

For further information, tickets or group bookings please phone 07769728191. There is ample parking space for cars and coaches.
