£0.75 million invested in new quarry vehicles

Acheson & Glover has invested almost £750,000 in new compact wheel loaders and articulated hauliers for use at its quarrying operations at Belcoo and Fivemiletown

The company has purchased two pairs of Volvo L180E loading shovels, and Volvo A30D dump trucks. The new shovels are capable of loading a standard articulated trailer with just four buckets. That makes them 30 per cent more efficient than the vehicles they are replacing. All four vehicles were supplied by the Portadown branch of Pat O'Donnell & Co, Ireland's leading heavy machinery and construction equipment dealer. Acheson Glover manufactures Ireland's wide range of construction products, and this latest investment is part of company's ongoing development strategy.
