Fermanagh Film Club commenced its Spring season last Tuesday, January 8th, with the highly acclaimed German film, 'The Lives of Others'. The venue, at Fermanagh House, was packed to capacity with an enthusiastic audience.
"Interest in the club has surpassed our wildest expectations,' said Ann McDermott, chairperson of Fermanagh Film Club committee.
"We have had very positive and encouraging feedback tonight. There is clearly a large local audience for this type of Art House film."
Membership for this season is fully subscribed. However, there will be a limited number of places available each night strictly on a first come first served basis. So, do turn up at Fermanagh House, Broadmeadow, at 8pm on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month until 13th May. Every effort will be made to accommodate non-members at an entrance fee of £6.
The club's next film, showing on Tuesday 22nd January, will be "The Good German". Directed by Steven Soderbergh, starring George Clooney and Cate Blanchette, this espionage thriller, shot in black and white using only equipment available to Hollywood directors in the 1940's, promises to be another gripping film.
