HOTCOURSES

Offering sophisticated search services, Hotcourses.com will guide you to the best courses available. If you're looking for a little self-improvement, further education or just fancy learning something new, finding out what courses are available can be a daunting task. That's where this site comes in. It lists details of more than 130,000 courses available in the UK, from jewellery design and motor repairs to physiotherapy degrees. Not only does Hotcourses have the largest course database in the UK they have now incorporated Google maps into their course search so that you can now see where a particular college or university actually is. This site is easy to navigate and the search facility offers a variety of options, such as specifying full-time or part-time courses. There's also information on the Government's Individual Learning Accounts incentive schemes. Using this site will dramatically reduce the amount of time it would normally take to find the course you are after to start that dream career.

GETTING PERSONAL

This website describes itself in one sentence and to be honest it pretty much sums up this site. They offer "unique high quality gifts & personalised gifts at affordable prices, delivered quickly and guaranteed with a smile."

In addition to this if you are hitting a blank on what to get someone for their birthday, anniversary or special event then this site is guaranteed to give you inspiration at an affordable price. Site sections include, Anniversary, Birthday Gifts, Occasions, Experience Days, Themed Gifts and Unusual Gifts. All products are displayed with a thumbnail image, brief description and price, which once clicked, will bring you to a more detailed product page offering more information on your item of interest. Browsing this site couldn't be easier; throughout the site there are areas to navigate you to where you want to go. The site is easy to read and quick to load despite the fact that it is bursting with gift ideas.

FOUR WALLS

Tired of trawling the high street for those little extras and finishing touches? FourWalls, the online directory of UK home and garden shopping websites will bring them to you. This fresh looking site focuses on the products and the search facility lets you find products by type, website address and brand name and two new categories offer links to home-related insurance and groceries. There are now over 240 sites listed in the directory, which FourWalls rate out of five, with the latest site additions highlighted at the bottom right of the home page. Site sections include; bathroom, kitchen, appliances, bedroom, hardware, garden, living, financial and groceries.

All sections are further sub-categorised providing you with specific sites for specific products. What is disappointing about this site is that although the sites they link you to are still active, their links are not. So don't be put off by the dead links, persevere and enter the links they give into your web browser.
