Enniskillen optician is on form

For the fifth year running Specsavers Opticians in Enniskillen is sponsoring what looks set to be the highlight of this year's Down Royal Summer Festival of Racing - the Specsavers Derby on Saturday 21 June.

The Enniskillen store, along with the 13 other stores across the province, has signed a new three-year sponsorship deal with Down Royal.

Specsavers is setting its sights on making this year's Specsavers Derby a 'spec'tacular day out for everybody with a real focus on glasses as they have become the ultimate fashion accessory. Two exciting new brands, couture designer Una Rodden and Italian-inspired brand Remus Uomo, are partnering with Specsavers to encourage people to dress spectacularly to be in with a chance of winning 'The Look' award.

This desirable award has been introduced by Specsavers to encourage all of Northern Ireland's fashionistas to create the perfect 'look' for the Specsavers Derby. Judges will be keeping an eye out for the most stylish female and male at the Specsavers Derby and the lucky winners will receive £500 worth of vouchers to spend in Una Rodden, Belfast and Remus Uomo, Victoria Square, respectively.

Enniskillen store director Ronan Rice says: 'We are delighted to extend our sponsorship of the Specsavers Derby for another three years. The sponsorship will further associate the Specsavers brand name with quality and style as it is one of the most prestigious sporting and social events in the Northern Ireland calendar. To be in with a chance of winning 'The Look' award at the Specsavers Derby, my top tip would be to consider wearing specs as they have become the ultimate fashion accessory."

The 14 Specsavers stores across Northern Ireland are sponsoring the Specsavers Derby, which includes one of the richest races at Down Royal with a prize fund of ¤82,500.
