A Tourism Marketing seminar focusing on best practice sales and promotional techniques using digital media within the hospitality industry is taking place in the Killyhevlin Hotel Enniskillen on 29th May.
The seminar is being hosted by Travel Logic Ltd. a fast growing Northwest business who have developed a cost effective sales and marketing platform that levels the online "playing field" between the global tourism brands and the independently owned tourism enterprises that operate in the Irish market.
Travel Logic have invested ¤500,000 to date in developing a "one-stop-shop" website sales and marketing solution for the tourism accommodation sector. The company received funding support of ¤200,000 under the EU Interreg IIIA Programme (Knowledge Economy) and was managed by Irish Cross Border Area Network.
According to Conor Daly of Travel Logic, "the result of this R&D investment is the delivery of a proven sales and marketing platform that is winning increased bed-night sales cost effectively for tourism businesses within the cross border region".
The half day Marketing Seminar is attracting enormous interest from the tourism sector in the border region and beyond, with hotels from Dublin, Roscommon, Mayo and Belfast also registered to attend the event.
The half day eMarketing Seminar will feature several high profile guest speakers presenting best practice marketing advice and online sales tips including; Niall Tracey, Senior Brand Manager with Diageo Ireland, Eamon McGrenaghan from WSI WEB Excel, and Thomas McCaffery from Happening PR & Marketing in Belfast. Thomas who is from Enniskillen was awarded the CIM Young Marketer of the Year 2007 for his innovative and successful promotional campaigns.
