After their four point win over Monaghan on Sunday the Fermanagh Senior Football received an added boost with the news that Barry Owens, their two time All Star, could be set for a sensational return over the coming weeks.
Owens had surgery in January to correct a slight heart defect and missed the entire NFL and Sunday's Ulster SFC win over Monaghan.
The Teemore man has resumed light training over the past number of weeks and it is understood that he may return for his club in this weekends double round of league fixtures.
Fermanagh manager, Malachy O'Rourke, has been careful not to rush Owens back but there is no doubt that his possible inclusion, on the bench at least, for the Ulster semi final will be a major tonic to the squad.
Fermanagh play the winners of Derry and Donegal on Saturday June 21st.
