Table quiz in aid of Cancer Charity

A table quiz, followed by an evenings entertainment with traditional music and song, will be held in the Cosy Corner, Kiltyclogher, Co. Leitrim on Saturday January 26th. Proceeds are in aid of the Ulster Cancer Foundation.

Quizmaster for the night is Roisin White from Armagh. Patrons of the Cosy will know Roisin White from several singing nights held there. Roisin is a teacher by profession and, although retired, her desire to impart knowledge is unquenched thus her position on this occasion is as arbitrator of who is right and who is wrong! Teams of four cost £4 or 5 euros per person. Quiz starts at 8.30pm sharp.

The table quiz will be followed with entertainment from Keltic Folk, Sligo who will be joined by singers and musicians from all over Ireland. Some of the special guests that will be in attendance on the night include singer Sean Mone from Keady Co. Armagh, box player Joe Carey from Mayo and other Galway/Inishbofin musicians, Paddy O'Donovan, Seamus and Fiachna O'Mongain(TG4 Young Musician of 2007) Joe Mulheron and by no means least the proprietor of the Cosy, local girl Rosie Stewart (TG4 2004 singer of the year) - this is only some of the many talented and distinguished singers and musicians which will make up a night not to be missed!

Do come along and support this worthy cause because it is an unfortunate fact of the times we live in that there are very few families fortunate enough to have evaded the scourge of cancer.

The Ulster Cancer Foundation is a charity dedicated to helping patients and their families cope with cancer. Their mission is to save lives and to provide an enhanced quality of life for all those affected by cancer. The supports provided include care services, research for new and better treatments and education and prevention programmes.
