The number of turbines planned for a wind farm at Ora More, near Boho and Belcoo, is set to be reduced from 13 to nine.
The move comes as the developers of the site, Renewable Energy Systems (RES), have submitted further environmental information to the Planning Service regarding their proposals. The information has been prepared following a request for further information from the Planning Service, and includes details of this reduction in the number of turbines.
The planning application for Ora More Wind Farm, located in the townlands of Killycreen West, Killycreen East, Ora Beg, and Mullylusty, was submitted in December 2005 following a five month public information exercise involving the local community and their representatives. The Planning Service will shortly advertise the further environmental information in the local press. Reference copies of the document will be available to the public in Belcoo Enterprise Centre and Lesky Post Office.
