School pupils from across Fermanagh travelled to Tully Castle on the Shore Road, about seven miles from Enniskillen, to experience a slice of life at this historic site.
Living History interpreters from Irish Arms demonstrated domestic and military life in the 17th century at this special event. The event was organised by the Environment and Heritage Service.
The display is part of the celebrations of National Archaeology Days, a NI-wide series of events which promote the diverse heritage of Northern Ireland.
Members of the public are invited to visit Tully Castle this Sunday, 15th of June where they too can step back in time to the Plantation period. There will be demonstrations between 11am and 4pm. Admission is free.
Archaeology Days events will run throughout June at several locations across Fermanagh, including Enniskillen Museum and Crom Demesne.
The Ulster Archaeology Society have organised a tour of historic sites of the county and, once again, Devenish Monastery will be brought to life in the company of a Living History monk. For further details visit www.ehsni.gov.uk .
