Medical staff attached to the Neo-Natal Unit and the Children's Ward of the Erne Hospital are on the move, or will be on Saturday, 21st June when they take part in the annual Enniskillen 10k for which they are open to sponsorship.

Monies raised will go towards both departments.

Dr Suresh Madaiah, a children's doctor, the group's spokesman, explained that his team will comprise paediatricians like himself together with midwives and staff nurses: "We're training hard at present. I practised at the week-end and on Wednesday and, because I'm on nights, I run during the day".

"But, it will have been well worth it as the money will be going to the children who attend the Children's Ward or the babies in the Neo-Natal Unit to help improve their care".

Anyone who would like to sponsor Dr Madaiah and his colleagues can leave their donations at either department.
